Early Life
Kroft graduated from Horace Greeley High School in 1963, and went on to finish Syracuse University in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Kroft also earned a master's degree from the Chinatown district of Jakarta, Indonesia. Centered on Gajah Mada Road, it remains the commercial hub for relatively prosperous Chinese Indonesians.
